Guest Designer: Suzanne

Meet our June double page guest designer!

Hi this is Suzanne or as bloggers know me Cricutcraftingrammy.  I have been crafting since in my teens (a long time ago) and bought my first Cricut about 6 years ago and my Silhouette two  years ago. I have become totally addicted to making cards, decor and especially scrapbook pages.  I have been blessed in the last five years with three precious granddaughters(5,4,3) and now a dynamo grandson (2) . I retired after teaching first grade for 33 years to enjoy being a grammy and to give me time for my crafting obsession. I watch two of my grandkids during the day and fill my free time with scrap booking.  I am blessed to teach scrapbook classes and create kits at Busy Bees in Newbury Park, California. Currently I am on two blog design teams and love to participate in blog challenges.  I am honored to be selected as a guest designer at Stick It Down.  They have such a great variety of sketches and I especially love the double page sketches with lots of room for all those cute grandkid pics.

Here is Suzanne's layout for the double page sketch:

meet the single page team...

Amanda
I live in Essex in the UK, just outside London, and I work part-time as a bookkeeper in a small accountancy firm. I've been married for almost 22 years, and we have two teenage children. I started scrapbooking in 2008, the year we got a digital camera and took our first foreign holiday, and I haven't stopped yet. I generally scrap 12x12 pages of our children and our travels, though I dabble with pocket pages too. Stick It Down is my first Design Team role; I've been on the DT since January and I'm very pleased to be starting my second term soon.

Hi! My name is Katy, and I live in sunny Florida. I have a wonderful husband who supports my scrapbooking addiction. I also have one son and 3 cats and I love scrapbooking our adventures. We enjoy going to the beach, going to theme parks, and being with friends.
I've been scrapbooking for over 10 years. I also make cards and do altered projects. Steampunk is one of my favorite styles right now but I have this problem where I love all scrapbooking products. :)

Hi Everyone! My name is Marci Bensing. I live in New Jersey. Of course I love scrapbooking (ATCs are an addiction!)- It’s been a hobby for me since the late 1990s. I also enjoy walking, volunteering for Meals on Wheels, my 2 grandsons, a genuine smile, pink, cooking NEW recipes, CHER, my dear husband, lunch w/friends, road trips, LIFE!, family, etc!
Loreto

Hi!, my name is Loreto Barsby (Lore Scrap), I’m Chilean and I live in Santiago with my husband and two little daughters. I met the scrapbook in 2013 and since then it was love a first sight and I don’t go a day without seeking scrappy inspiration.

My Family  are the primary subject matter of my layout, they are my inspirations for scrapping, I'm rarely without a camera to capture the moment. I don’t really have a certain style, but I would define my style as simple an colorful. I’m so excited to be a part of the Stick It Down!!!

My name is Purvi. I work full time at a software company in India. I have been married for more than 2 years. I loved to create cards and doodle as a kid...but it was something I did very rarely... It was my husband who encouraged me to take up my craft hobby again...and I haven't looked back since… Crafting is something I am very passionate about…I love anything and everything crafty...I enjoy card-making, art journalling and scrapbooking…I started scrapbooking to capture all our adventures together…and now I am hooked to it... A few things you will always find in my scrapbook pages are white cardstock, some doodling and lots of splatters… ;)

I am so excited to be on the Stick-It-Down Design Team... I hope I inspire you to create with the help of our wonderful Design Team... My blog - http://mypaperjourneys.blogspot.in/

Hello everyone, I'm so excited to be joining the Stick It Down design team. I live in the UK and work full time as a palliative care nurse. I live with my fiancée and 2 cute cats. I love to travel and this often is the main focus of my scrapbooking. India is my favourite place, the vibrant colours are amazing. My scrapbooking style includes lots of layers and often some fussy cutting. I can't wait to see how everyone interprets the sketches.

meet the double page team...

Connie

Hi Everyone! My Name is Connie Hall aka Cherished.  I have been scrapbooking over 10 years and contributing online just over 4 years.  I am raising my family in Akwesasne with my Husband Robert. I enjoy paper crafting and scrapbooking.  I love flowers, lace, mixed media and layers. I am happy to be part of the Double page team at Stick it Down.

Kel

My name is Kelli but most people call me kel.  I am located in beautiful Kaneohe, Hawaii (USA).  I am 32-yo and happily married, a non-traditional college student double majoring in History and Asian studies, only attending half-time to be able to care for baby #3 (born 9/30/14!).  I started scrapbooking in 2003 when pregnant with my oldest son, turned into a collector, and then started seriously creating again in 2013 because my stash grew out of control!  Who am I kidding... it's still outta control!!  haha!  I like to think of myself as a clean and simple stamper... I gravitate towards clean lines and minimal embellishments when I craft.  I LOVE patterned paper and cardstock though!!  I LOVE making cards, but my real passion is for scrapbook layouts... although from my blog you might not be able to see that!  I also have tons of fun with little gifts, tags and mini-albums although the minis take so much time!
Ronna

Hello! My name is Ronna and I live in Huntsville, Ontario. I share my life with my husband Bruce and more scrappy supplies than I’ll ever be able to use. I am the mother of two grown children, who, together with their spouses, manage to land themselves in enough interesting situations that I have no shortage of photographs to scrapbook.
I enjoy many crafts, but mainly scrapbooking and quilting. When I’m in my scrappy space, all I ever think about is trying to find the perfect papers and embellies to match. I love working threads into my layouts. My craft room really is where fabric and paper collide.
I started my scrapbooking journey almost 2 1/2 years ago and became completely addicted. I am thrilled to be working with such a talented team at Stick it Down.
Sharlene
Hi, my name is Sharlene Nye-Petrone. I am a wife, a mother, a Secondary School teacher, a quilter, and a scrapbooker. I currently live in Southwestern, Ontario, Canada with my husband, Robert Petrone of 15 years and two boys; Tyrone and Jayron. I love spending time with my family, taking photographs, and scrapbooking! I was introduced to the world of scrapbooking by a Creative Memories party back in 1997 but I didn’t start scrapbooking until I gave birth to my eldest son, Tyrone. So I have been scrapbooking for 14 years. I enjoy taking snapshots of my children, places and events. Over the years, my style has changed. I like to try new techniques. I like to work on layout with variety of colours as I like to add different embellishments to play with until the page meets my satisfaction. I am learning as much as I can and get inspiration from other scrapbookers.

Ali

I am a stay at home mom of two wonderful kids, my son (4 in June) and my daughter (1 in June). They keep me very busy-our favorite things to do together are library trips, family crafts, and frequenting a nearby creek for hiking and swimming. My husband and I have been together for eight years, he is a wonderful father and he often facilitates my crafting time (so he is also my hero!).

I have a MA in Teaching and Learning with Technology, my teaching efforts right now are most directed at my children, but one day I would love to direct those efforts to a wider audience! For now I am enjoying being a mom and a teacher to the most important students in my life!

My scrapbooking really took off when I was pregnant with my son. I had been scrapping here and there since high school, but I became hooked when I had a tiny little person to take a million pictures of! I love using patterned paper and mixing patterns and colors that don’t necessarily “go” together. I especially love creating double pages, mostly because I have a TON of pictures to scrap and I enjoy making layouts that are cohesive and incorporate a lot of pictures.

You can check out my layouts at  http://scrapngoodtimes.blogspot.com/

I’m 51 years old, married and I have three grown up stepchildren. I have a full time job.
I and my DH love to travel and spend time at our cabin in the mountains. Everywhere we go we take pictures, a lot of pictures. I’ve been scrapping for about 11 years now and since we have a lot of pictures I love to make double pages layouts with many photos on. For me it’s important to tell a story, so journaling are essential for me. Most of the time I write my journal by hand. Early I found out that stamps was great to use on my pages. The last years I have also gone into mixed media, and love to use paints, mists, inks and other mediums on my pages, often together with stensils and stamps. Sometimes I make my own embellishments and I alter chipboards to go with my photos.
I also make single layouts, cards and altered projects.

meet the card team...

Alison
My name is Alison and I live in Bend, Oregon right in the center of Oregon. I am married and have one ten year old daughter along with a dog named Wrinkles. I started traditional scrapbooking over ten year ago which branched out into card making, mini albums, and other paper crafts. I work part time as Speech Language Pathologist helping children birth to five years of age. On my days off I keep busy crafting, volunteering at my daughter’s school, gardening, reading, and enjoying the outdoors.

Colleen
Hi, Colleen from the beautiful state of Michigan. I am a mother, wife and grandmother to 6 very active kids. I have been scrapping for about 15 years but seriously scrapping for about 6 years. My style is eclectic, and evolving. I love to make cards and make quite a few. I make them for myself, my mother and for my daughter. I loved altering boxes that I fill with my cards and give them as gifts. I also create layouts and love to try to make each one unique while still have the photo be the focal point. I love making flowers and create most of the flowers on my projects.

Jodie

My name is Jodie Mason and I live in Australia. I am a mother of 3 (4 if you include my husband, who can be the biggest kid most of the time). I have always enjoyed crafting since before I can remember, and my love for creating has just grown stronger the older I get. These days I mostly concentrate on papercrafts and multimedia style projects, but nevertheless enjoy any kind of crafts. I am a design team member of Stick It Down blog and Memory Maze (chipboard products), and you can find me over at www.jodiescraftivity.blogspot.com.au.

Emilia

I am a stay at home mom of a wonderful girl (she are three years old  - 5.6). Now she goes to kindergarten, and I have a lot of free time for my favorite hobby. I have a wonderful husband, and he is a great father. Also we have two very fluffy and gentle cat. I love cats. And really love to chat with friends, read books, and of course creating: Scrapbooking, Cards and Mixed media.

My dream is to hold master classes on Scrapbooking, Cards making and Mixed media. In the meantime, I keep myself constantly learn new things and new techniques. I love to mix techniques, styles and try new things. My messy work table is my happy place and i am siting there a lot lately.

I make cards for 9 years. At first I made an album for a friend as a wedding gift but it was not the classic Scrapbooking style. And then I slowly started to read and look at internet master classes, and since then I addicted to Scrapbooking and making cards.

Lately I open a blog: http://exploreinspire.blogspot.co.il - where I'll be sharing my cards and other creations. You are welcome to visit any time.

I’m Evelyn.  Like most of you, I have always been crafty one way or another.  I knit, did counted cross-stitch for a few years, and have made beaded Christmas tree ornaments.  I’ve kept a scrapbook since I was a girl.  It included grainy, out of focus black and white photos taken on school field trips and around my home, locks of hair from when I got it cut, and paint samples from when I painted my bedroom walls (pink and yellow!)  When I discovered scrapbooking, I took that old scrapbook apart and re-made it using all acid-free materials.  My first die cutting machine was the Cricut Expression.  I now have two of them, a Gypsy, a Cameo and a Portrait, and use all of them to make scrapbook layouts, cards, and other paper items as well.  I'm honored and excited to be a member of the Stick it Down card design team and its newest card sketch designer!

My name is Irmelin and I am from Lulea, which is located in northern Sweden. Right now I am studying to be a nurse, with one year remaining of the education. I live with my partner, a 2.5 year old son and two cats. Besides crafting, I like to take photos, music and watch TV series.

Crafting, I have probably done since I was little. But began with layouts around 2006. 2013 I started with cardmaking when I got my Sizziz Big Shot machine. And this year I also started with art journaling and mixed media canvas. I like to work with color and stamps. Distress Ink is a favorite along with embossing powder. Like also to make CAS card and die-cutting.
